JAMMU, Feb. 27: As a part of civic action programme (CAP),
Jammu and Kashmir Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA)
conducted a competition among the wards of SPOs and police
personnel at Police Auditorium Gulshan Ground here today.
Chairperson JK Police Wives Welfare Association, K. Vijaya
inaugurated the day long Competition, in which thousands of
wards of police parivar, besides students from Police Public
School Miran Sahib participated.
Parents of the wards were also present on the occasion. The
competition was held in two sessions viz Healthy Baby
Competition and Fancy Dress Competition. Speaking on
occasion, Vijay said the competition has been organized with
an aim to bring awareness among the parents about the health
and hygiene of the wards. She said that the competition will
also encourage the parents to take proper care of health of
their wards especially when due to duty obligation, police
personnel often remain away from their families and fail to
give due attention to their wards.
